We support legislation that eliminates abusive lending practices and protect good laws on the books. The Coalition signs letters in support of its policy priorities at the state and federal levels and connect our members with the opportunity to do the same. We connect Coalition members with the chance to share their experiences with consumer financial products with the media either as sources for a story or as authors of letters to the editor. We alert members when it is time to contact legislators about priority bills. We host events where members can show their support for Coalition policy priorities, including press conferences and direct actions that put a spotlight on harmful financial products.

We ensure members are up to date on the latest policy, research, and other resources relevant to our issue areas. We also host trainings to build members’ advocacy skills. The Coalition hosts webinars multiple times a year featuring experts in their fields to provide members with information about new financial products and services and their impact on consumers and update members on public policy changes at the state and federal levels. The Coalition shares information about members’ events and events hosted by national organizations that relate to the Coalition’s priorities.
